Jacob represents clients in complex disputes in state and federal courts. He has significant, hands-on experience litigating matters through trial, post-trial proceedings and appeal, affording him an end-to-end perspective on how cases are built, tried and resolved. He draws on this experience to help clients coordinate and defend against recurring litigation across jurisdictions and mitigate future litigation risk.

Jacob’s experience includes representing clients in numerous trials to verdict, including trials resulting in seven-figure judgments and the defense of an eight-figure claim. He has represented clients in dispositive arguments and time-sensitive, emergency proceedings before trial court judges, and he has briefed and/or argued outcome-determinative issues before appellate courts. His appellate work has involved precedential decisions, including one from an en banc panel of the Pennsylvania Superior Court concerning the interpretation and scope of a state construction industry prompt payment statute.

Jacob’s practice spans a broad range of commercial disputes, including those involving breach of contract, business torts, post-acquisition disputes, breach of fiduciary duty, shareholder and partner disputes, and restrictive covenant disputes. He also has significant construction litigation experience, representing contractors and owners in cases involving delay and disruption, termination, unpaid extra work, deficient specifications and defective work, as well as bid protests and performance bond disputes.
