John is a construction and commercial litigation attorney who represents owners, contractors and businesses, including lenders, in disputes and in contract negotiations and drafting.

John has experience representing clients in both state and federal courts across multiple jurisdictions at trial and on appeal. John represents owners, developers, general contractors, subcontractors and design professionals on commercial, residential and public construction projects from start to finish.

He drafts and negotiates construction contracts, including AIA agreements, subcontracts and design agreements. He identifies contract provisions that can lead to disputes concerning scope of work, payment terms, change orders, delay damages, indemnification and limitation of liability, and he negotiates terms that reduce that risk.

When disputes emerge during a construction project or in any commercial setting, he assesses litigation risks early, explains options in plain terms, and pursues resolution through negotiation, mediation, arbitration and courtroom litigation from the initial pleading stage through appellate procedure.
