Fox Rothschild LLP congratulates José M. Jara, who was appointed to serve on the American Bar Association’s Commission on Hispanic Legal Rights & Responsibilities for the 2022-2023 term, effective August 10.

The Commission focuses on developing and supporting initiatives and research to educate lawyers on how best to serve, promote civic responsibility within and address the key legal challenges facing Latinx communities in the United States.

Jara will collaborate with members on the Commission’s strategic plan, updating its signature publication, Latinos in the United States: Overcoming Legal Obstacles, Engaging in Civic Life, developing a webinar series on language access issues and planning the third annual signature event, Cinco de Música, which helps raise funds to benefit the Commission.

At Fox, Jara focuses his practice on ERISA and employment litigation and counseling, including representing clients under investigation by the Department of Labor’s Employee Benefits Security Administration and defending fiduciaries and boards of directors against ERISA class action litigation alleging breach of fiduciary duty.
