Lessons of Resilience and Courage from German Jewish Women Lawyers
1719 N Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19122
On March 14, 2024, Joel Bolstein offered opening remarks for a new exhibit at Temple University’s Beasley School of Law entitled “Lessons of Resilience and Courage from German Jewish Women Lawyers”, which explored the lives and experiences of 17 Jewish women lawyers in Germany before 1945 and reflected on the intersection of discrimination and persecution, with lessons of resilience and courage. The exhibit was preceded by a conversation with Dr. Michael Bornstein, author of the New York Times Bestseller “Survivors Club: The True Story of a Very Young Prisoner of Auschwitz”, who was four years old when he was sent to the German concentration camp. The exhibit and program was sponsored by the PA Human Relations Commission as part of its activities for Women’s History Month.
