Fox Rothschild Increases Attorney Compensation Nationwide
Fox Rothschild is adjusting its associate compensation levels throughout its nationwide network of 27 offices. Effective August 29, 2021, salaries will be raised for partnership-track associates according to the following structure:
- Class of 2018-2021 (includes incoming first-year associates): $15,000 increase
- Class of 2015-2017: $12,500 increase
- Class of 2014 and earlier: $10,000 increase
In addition, compensation will be increased for non-partnership track associates, and those associates currently on track for partnership and working reduced schedules are set to receive a pro-rated salary increase.
“We recognize the pull of current market demands and the competition to attract and retain associates. These increases, paired with the entrepreneurial spirit and collegial culture that are at the core our firm, position us to create a pipeline of talented attorneys who are, and will be, the future of Fox Rothschild,” said Mark L. Morris, Fox’s Firmwide Managing Partner.
These increases are separate from the firm’s annual associate performance evaluations, which serve as the catalyst for traditional merit-based raises in compensation, and are considered annually in September. That yearly review process will occur as normally scheduled and will result in additional salary adjustments.
Compensation increases, centered around base salaries, are also taking effect on August 29 for certain income partners and counsel throughout the firm.
“Our recruiting and retention strategy aims to provide attorneys with the opportunities to define and grow their careers with us in a manner that helps them achieve their personal and professional goals,” said Morris. “These increases, which fit within the boundaries of the economic structure and profitability model of our firm, enable us to remain competitive in each market where we have offices throughout the United States, while providing our salaried attorneys with financial compensation that aligns with their goals.”
