Fox Rothschild Recommits to Diversity Lab’s Mansfield 6.0 to Promote Diversity in Leadership
Fox Rothschild LLP is pleased to announce the firm will continue its partnership with Diversity Lab as a participating law firm in Mansfield 6.0, the newest – and most rigorous – version of its certification process to promote diversity in positions of law firm leadership.
Diversity Lab, an incubator for innovative ideas and solutions that boost diversity and inclusion in law, leverages data, behavioral science, design thinking and technology to further develop and test ideas, measure results and share the lessons learned by participating firms.
The parameters of this latest version of certification have expanded in scope and increased in rigor from when Diversity Lab launched Mansfield five years ago. Firms are required to consider at least 30% historically underrepresented lawyers, including female lawyers, lawyers of color, LGBTQ+ lawyers and lawyers with disabilities, when appointing leadership roles and promoting into the equity partnership, among a dozen other activities that focus on the path to leadership. Firms must also consider 30% underrepresented talent for C-suite roles.
As part of the 6.0 certification process, firms must now create and publish job descriptions for leadership roles as well as meet routine check-in, data collection and reporting milestones. Advancement and compensation processes must also be transparent internally.
“We embrace the challenges of Mansfield 6.0. By focusing on transparency and broadening the pool of candidates considered for advancement opportunities, we create a pathway for historically underrepresented groups to ascend to positions of leadership across the firm,” said Kimberly Bullock Gatling, Fox’s Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer. “The accountability, data, reporting milestones and knowledge sharing in the Mansfield community are vital to our ongoing efforts, and we are excited to recommit to the program.”
