Heidy Vaquerano Honored Among Imagen’s Influential Latinos in Media
Fox Rothschild congratulates Heidy Vaquerano, who has again been named among the most Influential Latinos in Media by the Imagen Foundation.
It is the third straight year that Imagen has included Vaquerano on its annual list. The award recognizes Latinos in the entertainment industry who “contribute daily to mainstream media and who through their expertise, business acumen, and diligence of purpose, have achieved success and influence within their companies and in the industry.”
Based in Los Angeles, Vaquerano is a Partner in our Entertainment & Sports Law Department. She represents artists and rights companies at the forefront of a major shift in the industry as musicians increasingly sell their catalogs — encompassing publishing, sound recordings and neighboring rights — to diversify revenue streams. She also negotiates a full range of agreements related to the entertainment industry. An indispensable adviser with a deep understanding of law and technology, she helps clients capitalize on their talent and intellectual property to pursue and seize each new opportunity the marketplace presents.
A first-generation college graduate and the daughter of immigrants, Vaquerano is active in numerous diversity initiatives within the Los Angeles community. That includes serving on former Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti’s WiSTEM LA Initiative, which breaks down the barriers faced by women and BIPOC Communities.
Vaquerano also serves on the board of PBS SoCal, a nonprofit that aims to enrich Southern California by connecting communities through public media.
