Heidy Vaquerano Recognized Among Imagen’s Influential Latinos in Media
Fox Rothschild LLP congratulates Heidy Vaquerano, who was recognized among the most Influential Latinos in Media by The Imagen Foundation, which honors “senior level executives of Latino descent who have made a significant impact at their companies as well as within the entertainment industry at large.”
Vaquerano, a Partner in the Entertainment & Sports Law Department, has extensive knowledge of intellectual property and transactional matters within the entertainment industry. She is at the forefront of a major shift in the music industry as major recording artists sell their music catalogs to diversify revenue streams.
Being the daughter of immigrants and a first-generation college graduate has led her to participate in many diversity initiatives within the Los Angeles community. She serves on the SXSW Pitch Advisory Board where she uses her vast network of BIPOC communities to recruit diverse startups within the music, entertainment and virtual reality realms. She previously was Managing Director of Girls in Tech, a non-profit focused on “eliminating the gender gap in tech,” where she organized events to bring racial and gender equity in technology to Los Angeles. Vaquerano is also a former member of the WiSTEM LA Initiative, which was launched by former Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, to break down the barriers faced by women and BIPOC Communities.
She earned her J.D. from Southwestern Law School and B.A. from the University of Southern California.
