Michelle DeLappe Elected to the American College of Tax Counsel

Fox Rothschild congratulates Michelle DeLappe, who was elected as a Fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel (ACTC).

DeLappe is one of 13 newly elected ACTC Fellows following a rigorous nomination and screening process. Membership is reserved for leaders who are devoted to tax law and related issues. ACTC Fellows exemplify a “high standard of excellence and ethical conduct” through their bar association involvement and thought leadership within the field.

A Partner in our Taxation & Wealth Planning Department, DeLappe helps businesses reduce their state and local tax exposure through effective planning, defending against assessments and pursuing refunds. She handles state and local tax matters in a variety of contexts, including strategic planning, transactions, audits, administrative appeals and litigation. Her experience includes litigating some of the largest property tax disputes in Washington state history.

Ranked as a leading tax attorney in Washington by Chambers USA, DeLappe is touted in the guide for being the attorney clients call when they face legal issues that are “extremely technical and sophisticated, knowing she will provide excellent representation.”

DeLappe is a frequent contributor to the discussion on state and local taxes in the Pacific Northwest. She has written for Tax Notes State and co-authored the Washington and Alaska chapters of the ABA Property Tax Deskbook. She regularly presents at events around the country, such as conferences hosted by Institute for Professionals in Taxation, American Bar Association, Seattle Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, the Council on State Taxation, and the NYU Institute on State and Local Taxation.
