Fox Rothschild congratulates Shveta Kakar, who was honored by Crain’s New York Business as one of the attorneys who is “leading the work that keeps systems functioning and rights protected” in New York.

Kakar’s inclusion in the publication’s Notable Women in Law list highlights her lasting impact on the nonprofit sector and her dedication to the community.

Crain’s New York Business touted Kakar’s efforts advising The City College of New York and its two related foundations to merge two long-standing and separate organizations into a single entity, the new Foundation for City College.

A partner in our Corporate Department, Kakar advises nonprofit organizations on corporate, transactional and governance issues and conducts internal investigations and litigates on their behalf. She routinely counsels clients on fiduciary duties of directors and officers, conflicts of interest, conducts board trainings and advises on all issues that affect tax-exempt organizations.

Kakar is on the board of The Third Street Music School.
