A testament to his influence in Hollywood’s legal sector, Leron E. Rogers was named the Entertainment Attorney of the Year by the National Bar Association, the nation’s oldest and largest network of predominantly African-American attorneys and judges.

A partner in the Entertainment & Sports Law Department at Fox Rothschild, Rogers is a broker of continued success for superstars, a game-changing litigator and a leader in the legal profession. He has negotiated millions of dollars in deals for some of the biggest names in music and entertainment, including Rick Ross, Coco Jones, Abou “Bu” Thiam and Druski, and has structured major agreements with companies such as Cookies, Rap Snacks, Jet Docs and Bumbu Rum.

Named among entertainment trailblazers in Variety’s Legal Impact Report and on Billboard’s Top Music Lawyers list, Rogers is a skilled litigator who has defended industry power players such as Universal Music Group (UMG) and Def Jam against multiple lawsuits. In one industry-shaping case in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, Rogers secured a victory for client Rick Ross, setting a key precedent that allows creators to sample music without permission on projects they aren’t profiting from.

Rogers serves as Board Chairman for the Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Association (BESLA), Co-Chair of the Music Industry Relations Collective at the National Museum of African American Music and is the former Chair of the Entertainment Division of the State Bar of Georgia’s Entertainment and Sports Law Section. He is also a member of 100 Black Men of Atlanta, a powerful advocacy group working to expand educational and economic opportunities for the city’s African-American youth.

He earned his J.D. from Florida State University College of Law and B.B.A. from Texas State University.
