Two Fox Rothschild Attorneys Selected to North Carolina Lawyers Weekly’s Icons & Phenoms List
Fox Rothschild congratulates Maureen Demarest Murray and Alexandra J. Hirsch, who were named to the 2024 Icons & Phenoms list by North Carolina Lawyers Weekly.
Murray, named to the “Icons” list, is Co-Chair of the firm’s national Health Law Practice Group. The list spotlights “senior leaders of the legal community who have made their mark in the courtroom or the boardroom, in their law firms or legal departments, with community organizations, and with local, state and national bar associations over 30 years of practice.”
She represents health care providers in regulatory matters and appeals, business transactions, medical staff and peer review matters, reimbursement appeals, fraud and abuse investigations and business disputes. Clients rely on Murray to help them navigate urgent situations involving patient care and crises for their business.
Murray was previously on the University of North Carolina at Greensboro School of Nursing Advisory Board and Associate Advisory Committee for the North Carolina Health Care Facilities Association. She currently serves on the Board of the Arc of Greensboro, Inc.
Hirsch, a “Phenom,” is an associate in the Litigation Department. This list highlights “rising stars who have made a name for themselves in their first 10 years of practice.”
Hirsch is a litigator who focuses her practice on subrogation claims involving catastrophic property loss. She also handles a wide range of other litigation matters in both state and federal courts, to include commercial claims, personal injury defense, construction and transportation cases, and appellate work. Hirsch proudly served as a Captain in the United States Army Reserve Judge Advocate General (JAG) Corps, where she represented the Army and individual soldiers in a wide range of legal disciplines, including providing legal assistance to soldiers and their families and advising military commanders on various civil, administrative, and criminal legal matters.
She is a member of the Mecklenburg County Bar and is part of its 2024 Mecklenburg County Bar Leadership Institute Program.
