Nicholas advises clients on complex intellectual property matters.

He assists clients with patents, trademarks, due diligence, freedom to operate opinions, legal transactions and licensing, infringement and invalidity positions, post-grant proceedings and litigation.

Nicholas is a former decision-maker for a multidisciplinary design firm and has a nuanced appreciation of the relationship between innovation and business needs. Licensed in both professional engineering and planning, he has a deep understanding of the technology that drives IP portfolios and its practical application to real-world scenarios.

Beyond Fox Rothschild

Nicholas is a Ph.D. candidate, and his research has directly contributed to innovations in the fields of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, transport phenomena, tribology and kinematics.

He is licensed by the state of New Jersey as a professional engineer and professional planner. He is a Certified Energy Manager by the Association of Energy Engineers and is a LEED Accredited Professional in Building Design and Construction.

He has volunteered for Minneapolis-based The Advocates for Human Rights to assist clients seeking asylum in the United States.

Before Fox Rothschild

Nicholas was previously vice president of the life sciences division of a regional company specializing in systems engineering and product design. In that role, he developed an intellectual property portfolio and served on steering committees for licensing agreements.

While earning his law degree, Nicholas was a member of the Seton Hall Legislative Journal and the Intellectual Property Law Society.
