Litigator Stefan Palys Joins Fox Rothschild in Washington, DC

Fox Rothschild welcomes Stefan Palys to the Washington, DC office as a partner in the Litigation Department.

“Stefan is a versatile trial and appellate attorney often brought in as a ‘fixer’ for complex cases during the trial and appellate phases of litigation,” said Doug P. Hibshman, office managing partner of Fox’s DC office.  “Stefan regularly handles a range of high-stakes matters in state and federal court and will be an asset for our clients and our national litigation team.” 

 Palys helps businesses and individuals solve their legal problems. He works with large and small businesses and individuals operating in a wide variety of industries, from entertainment and professional sports to banking, aviation, construction, real estate, and others to find creative, efficient resolutions to a full range of commercial disputes. 

His commercial litigation experience has included trials and arbitrations, covering matters such as breaches of contract, fraud and breach of fiduciary duty claims, civil RICO claims, federal and blue sky securities issues, business divorces and derivative actions, trade secret and intellectual property issues, False Claims Act cases, bankruptcy adversary proceedings, labor and employment disputes, as well as civil rights and First Amendment cases. He also has experience enforcing creditors’ rights, including through receiverships and by exercising their rights under the UCC. 

Palys earned his J.D. from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law and his B.A. from Wake Forest University.

Prior to joining Fox, Palys was a partner at Lewis Brisbois.
