Representative Services
- Lead groups in dispute resolution forums, including the largest environmental cleanup in the country. Significant interface and negotiations with both federal and state environmental agencies to effectuate a settlement of environmental liabilities.
- Represent clients on technical and legal matters to address compliance issues including, permitting, investigation, design, and remediation under Administrative Consent Orders.
- Address corporate regulatory and governance issues including those involving emerging environmental regulations and sustainability guidance.
- Address regulatory permit applications and issues. Work on complex projects in a variety of sectors including construction, utility, manufacturing and real estate development to obtain land use, remediation, air, water, and soil permits. Negotiate with regulators, and, if necessary, appeal and litigate.
- Represent clients in federal, state, and administrative courts at both trial and appellate levels litigating a variety of matters including contract and commercial disputes, property rights, land use appeals, and environmental cost recovery and permitting appeals.
- Advise on varied land use matters, including issues relating to sensitive ecological impacts, storm water and flood control issues and natural resource damage impacts.
- Address various legal impacts and issues relating to property transactions. Conduct land use/environmental due diligence and counsel real estate developers and corporate clients regarding liabilities and business impacts.
