He helps assess and fulfill legal obligations related to data breach notification pursuant to state and federal law, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Graham-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA).

Amir is experienced with ransomware attacks and business email compromises. He coordinates with insurance carriers, digital forensics and other teams with an emphasis on minimizing disruption and ensuring a swift recovery. When necessary, he engages and negotiates with threat actors to gather intelligence and assess opportunities for reducing operational impacts to businesses. He also advises on post-incident customer communications and regulatory inquiries, aiming to avert and mitigate fines and legal action.

Amir has earned the rigorous CIPP/US credential from the International Association of Privacy Professionals and develops strategic plans to help his clients enhance cybersecurity protocols, develop incident response strategies and mitigate risks.
