Biography

A litigator, Chris develops creative solutions to help solve his clients' disputes. He guides them through all stages of the process, from inception through trial or arbitration and appeals.

He represents corporate clients in commercial disputes, corporate governance lawsuits and securities litigation.

Chris also defends creditors’ rights in bankruptcy-related litigation. He has successfully helped creditors preserve their rights by objecting to Chapter 11 plans and opposing attempts by debtors and trustees to reduce millions of dollars of his clients’ claims. He also represents clients in adversary proceedings in bankruptcy courts.

  • Defended a corporate director and general contracting company in a multi-million-dollar director liability case for breach of fiduciary duty involving a hotel construction contract. Received an arbitration award and an award of attorneys’ fees.
  • Received pretrial preliminary injunction appointing receiver over gas station and commercial strip mall. The matter resolved through non-judicial foreclosure.
  • Defended a leaseholder family business in an action against a California city involving a lease to urban mall. Settled the matter out of court.
  • Brought a successful action and received judgment for prescriptive easement involving an appliance company's land dispute with a first-response company.
  • Successfully defended multiple lender liability actions on behalf of several financial institutions.
  • Defended a registered investment advisor in a securities fraud case involving pre-IPO sale of shares of a major social media company. Received arbitration award finding no fault in the client.
  • Successfully defended court-appointed receiver, in a matter brought against him for wrongful retention of funds by a handful of public and private entities. Received a finding of no fault and full payment of receiver’s fees.

Before Fox Rothschild

Chris joined us from a boutique law firm. He previously practiced at an international law firm. 

While earning his law degree, Chris clerked for the U.S. Attorney's Office of the District of Arizona and participated in the Georgetown Criminal Justice Clinic.
