Biography
Claudette helps clients in highly regulated industries, particularly cannabis, gaming and alcoholic beverages, navigate the complex laws and regulations governing them. She counsels clients on licensing and compliance and represents them before agencies, boards and commissions, as well as in judicial and administrative proceedings.
Claudette has worked as a lobbyist and understands the legislative and rulemaking processes, including drafting and amending laws and regulations, and has advised both public and private sector clients on issues including agency authority, home rule, ex parte rules, lobbying, procurement, ethics and the Freedom of Information and Open Meetings acts.
Before Fox Rothschild
Prior to re-joining Fox, Claudette was a partner in a Chicago boutique firm where she headed up the Regulatory Group (cannabis, gaming, alcoholic beverages) and authored a twice-monthly e-newsletter reporting on Illinois Gaming Board and Illinois Liquor Control Commission meetings as well as legal, legislative and regulatory developments relevant to the gaming and alcoholic beverages industries. Before that, she was a partner at two prominent Chicago-based law firms.
