Biography

Colleen is a skilled litigator whose practice centers on complex business and commercial disputes, with an emphasis on matters involving distressed commercial real estate.

She represents financial institutions, insurance companies, property owners, developers, landlords, equipment lessors and other corporate entities. Her experience includes bankruptcy and foreclosure proceedings involving hotels, residential and commercial development projects and retail malls.

Colleen also advises commercial real estate owners on a variety of real estate tax matters. She works with clients to reduce real estate tax liabilities and resolve disputes with taxing authorities and other entities. She also has extensive experience managing property tax appeals and other matters in the Minnesota Tax Court.

Before Fox Rothschild

Prior to joining Fox Rothschild, Colleen was an attorney in the Minneapolis office of a national law firm, where she focused her practice on asbestos personal injury and wrongful death cases.

Colleen also clerked at the Minnesota Court of Appeals for the Honorable Edward J. Cleary. While at the court, Colleen worked on a variety of civil cases, including personal injury and wrongful death claims, property disputes, civil commitment claims, unemployment benefits disputes and family law cases. She also handled adult and juvenile criminal cases ranging from DUI and misdemeanor charges to criminal sexual conduct and second-degree murder charges. 

Beyond Fox Rothschild

Colleen served for 10 years on the Board of Directors for the American Civil Liberties Union of Minnesota. She is a member of the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association Diversity Committee, the Minnesota Lavender Bar Association, Minnesota State Bar Association and the Hennepin County Bar Association.
