Fox Rothschild Receives Fourth Consecutive Perfect Score on Human Rights Campaign’s Annual Corporate Equality Index
Fox Rothschild LLP is proud to announce the firm has received a perfect score on the annual Corporate Equality Index (CEI) and the designation as a “Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality” for the fourth consecutive year.
Conducted by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, CEI is the nation’s foremost benchmarking survey and report measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ workplace equality. The rating is based on the assessment of key pillars: nondiscrimination policies and practices; equitable benefits for LGBTQ workers and their families; and supporting an inclusive culture and corporate social responsibility.
“When the Human Rights Campaign Foundation created the Corporate Equality Index 20 years ago, we dreamed that LGBTQ+ workers—from the factory floor to corporate headquarters, in big cities and small towns—could have access to the policies and benefits needed to thrive and live life authentically,” said Jay Brown, Human Rights Campaign Senior Vice President of Programs, Research and Training. “We are proud that the Corporate Equality Index paved the way to that reality for countless LGBTQ+ workers in America and abroad. But there is still more to do, which is why we are raising the bar yet again to create more equitable workplaces and a better tomorrow for LGBTQ+ workers everywhere.”
Fox’s Diversity Committee spearheads initiatives to promote firm-wide diversity and inclusion. The LGBTQ & Allies Initiative, co-chaired by Colleen McGarry, William H. Stassen and Prince Altee Thomas, is dedicated to ensuring that Fox is a welcoming workplace for all and that the Fox family, the legal community, law students and the larger community see the firm as a model of inclusiveness and acceptance.
Among the recent initiatives the group has undertaken is the creation of a glossary of terms that individuals use to define and express themselves in the way that feels most authentic to them. Spearheaded by Brian McGinnis, this resource aims to help companies and individuals gain fluency in the ever-evolving language relevant to the LGBTQIA+ community.
