Fox Rothschild congratulates Matthew R. Kittay, who was appointed Chair of the Private Equity and Venture Capital Committee of the American Bar Association (ABA) Business Law Section for a three-year term (2025-2028) at the section’s Toronto fall meeting, September 2025.

The Committee is an educational and networking forum for leading private equity and venture capital practitioners of all experience levels from around the world to exchange views and information on current and emerging issues, trends, developments and practice considerations of specific interest or relevance to private equity and venture capital funds, and their investment transactions, portfolio companies and investors.

As Committee Chair, Kittay will play a key role in the Business Law Section’s leadership and help drive success of both the Section and Committee. Throughout his term, Kittay will oversee Section meetings, provide strategic insight and empower the Committee to fulfil its mission.

This position further strengthens Kittay’s involvement in the Section, where he formerly served as immediate Vice-Chair of the Committee, prior co-chair of the Angel Venture Capital Committee, and liaison to the M&A Technology Legal Analytics Subcommittee.

Co-Chair of Fox Rothschild’s national Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Group, Kittay has almost twenty years of experience structuring mergers and acquisitions and securing private equity and venture capital for a wide range of companies both in the U.S. and internationally, particularly in the technology, consumer products, software, manufacturing and health care sectors. A thought leader in the M&A ecosystem, he provides legal guidance to businesses, private equity and venture capital funds, investors and entrepreneurs to help them achieve the corporate financing and structures that drive their success.
