Three Fox Rothschild Attorneys Recognized as Top Music Lawyers by The Hollywood Reporter
Fox Rothschild congratulates Tim Mandelbaum, Cynthia L. Katz and Heidy Vaquerano who were recognized among only 57 attorneys named to The Hollywood Reporter’s 2025 Top Music Lawyers. The distinguished list includes “the attorneys behind the past year’s billion-dollar deals, rivalry spats and library acquisitions that keep the industry turntable spinning.”
The trio played an instrumental role in multiple high-profile transactions over the past year. The Hollywood Reporter cited Katz and Vaquerano’s representation of HarbourView Equity Partners in the acquisition of more than 30 music catalogs — valued at close to $1 billion — from artists including Kelly Clarkson, T-Pain and the Estate of Christine McVie.
Mandelbaum, who represents R&B group Jodeci, negotiated the development of their biopic and documentary. With a focus on “long-term strategy — not just viral success,” Mandelbaum is noted for advocating for his clients’ continued growth.
When asked for his thoughts on artificial intelligence in the music industry, Mandelbaum told The Hollywood Reporter, “It has amazing potential. I have a client who lost his singing voice. Through AI, he can re-create his voice and finish an album he started years ago.”
