Variety Names Six Fox Rothschild Attorneys to Dealmakers List

Six Fox Rothschild attorneys were named to Variety’s 2025 Dealmakers List, highlighting their own achievements and the remarkable growth and success of the firm’s Entertainment & Sports Law Department across film, television, music, sports and new media. Darrell D. Miller, Marc H. Simon, Cynthia L. Katz, Heidy Vaquerano, Leron E. Rogers and John T. Rose were all featured in the list, which spotlights those “behind the year’s seismic showbiz shakeups.”

Meet Fox’s Variety Dealmaker Honorees:

Darrell D. Miller, Founding Chair of the Entertainment & Sports Law Department and Managing Partner of the firm’s Los Angeles office, secures multimillion‑dollar endorsements and media deals for marquee talent. Variety noted his work for clients Da’Vine Joy Ran­dolph (roles in big screen thriller “The Gallerist” and the UCP miniseries “The Trees”), Courtney B. Vance (Sea­son 2 of Apple TV’s “Presumed Inno­cent”) and Taylor Tomlinson (fourth Netflix standup special).

Marc H. Simon represents leading film and television companies, financiers, producers, talent, directors, writers and other content creators, as well as businesses in the digital, gaming and new media industries. Variety featured his work for Bloomberg Media and the Obama Family Office/Higher Ground Prods and writer-director Jennifer Peedom (“Tenzing”).

Cynthia L. Katz and Heidy Vaquerano handle some of the industry’s most influential transactions. The duo counsels clients on innovative ways to monetize and protect intellectual property. Variety highlighted their work on behalf of HarbourView Equity Partners, where they led acquisitions of more than 30 music catalogs valued at over $1 billion from songwriters including Kelly Clarkson, T‑Pain, Rodney Jerkins and the Estate of Christine McVie. They also helped HarbourView close its first commingled fund at over $630 million.

Leron E. Rogers and John T. Rose are known for securing major content, sponsorship, licensing and performance deals for top artists, entertainers and organizations. Variety highlighted their work negotiating a modification to legendary rap­per Rick Ross’ agreement with Sony Music Publishing.
