Construction and Federal Contracts Attorney Dan Rounds Joins Fox Rothschild in Washington, DC
Fox Rothschild welcomes Daniel D. Rounds to the Washington, DC office as a partner in the Construction and Federal Government Contracts Practice Groups.

Rounds advises clients on all phases of public, industrial, and complex commercial construction projects from inception through claims resolution. When claims and contract disputes arise, he helps clients resolve them efficiently. Rounds represents clients in federal and state courts, in Boards of Contract Appeals, and in domestic and international arbitration.
Rounds assists clients with construction and design contract drafting and negotiation, requests for equitable adjustment and claim preparation, and termination settlement negotiations. He also counsels contractors on federal and state procurement laws, regulatory compliance, and grant issues relevant to public construction projects such as those involving transportation and utility infrastructure, military construction, and civilian government construction. Rounds is particularly well-versed in helping contractors navigate domestic preference laws and regulations such as Buy American, Buy America, and Build America, Buy America.
A leader in the industry, Rounds serves on the Board of Governors of the Virginia State Bar's Construction Law and Public Contracts Section and is a Contributing Editor to The Construction Lawyer, a publication of the ABA Forum on Construction Law. He is also a Vice Chair of the Contract Claims and Disputes Resolution Committee of the ABA Public Contract Law Section.
Rounds earned his J.D. from William & Mary Law School and his B.A. from the College of William and Mary.
Rounds began his career with Smith Pachter McWhorter PLC, a boutique construction and government contracts firm in Tysons, Virginia. Prior to joining Fox, Rounds was counsel at Haynes Boone.
