Biography
David provides strategic legal counsel to clients in the entertainment industry, particularly those in television, film and digital media.
His clients include digital streaming platforms, cable networks, production companies, financiers, directors, producers, screenwriters, actors and celebrity talent. He regularly advises on the legal aspects of development, financing, production and distribution of television and film projects.
He negotiates intellectual property acquisitions, production company service agreements and writer, director, showrunner and on-camera talent deals. He carefully structures complex agreements for IP, digital distribution and content licensing. He also advises clients on branded entertainment productions and sponsorship agreements.
David leverages significant in-house experience in both the legal and production aspects of the industry to provide clients with forward-looking, practical advice.
Before Fox Rothschild
David previously served as a business and legal affairs executive in the scripted original series division of Netflix. He also formerly practiced at boutique entertainment law firms in New York.
David was a senior writer and producer for the Sundance Channel before entering the legal profession.
While earning his law degree, David was a member of the Fordham Media and Entertainment Law Society, Fordham Information Law Society and the Fordham Sports Law Forum.
