USPAP in Litigation: Ten Strategy Tips for Appraisal Evidence
705 Pike St
Seattle, WA 98101
The Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) provides an important framework for establishing and evaluating the reliability of valuation evidence in the litigation context—whether that of your own appraisal or that of an opposing appraisal expert. This session, based on the panelists own experience in property tax cases, demonstrates how to use USPAP to establish a more credible foundation for your appraisal evidence and to identify factors to consider in an appraisal review. Most of the ten strategy tips covered in this session apply to a wide variety of types of litigation involving real estate appraisal evidence.
