Employee Benefits & Compensation Attorney Deborah Andrews Joins Fox Rothschild

Fox Rothschild welcomes Deborah B. Andrews as counsel in the Employee Benefits & Compensation Department. She will maintain offices in both Raleigh, NC and Washington, DC.

Andrews focuses her practice on employee benefits, executive compensation and applicable tax compliance matters.

She assists clients in designing, maintaining and implementing tax-qualified and nonqualified plans. She helps ensure compliance with the Internal Revenue Code and ERISA and aids businesses in correcting plan failures under the IRS and Department of Labor correction programs.

Andrews provides comprehensive guidance related to equity compensation, severance arrangements, top hat plans, employment agreements, deferred compensation under Code Section 409A, golden parachute rules of Code Sections 280G and 4999 and fringe benefits.

She also has experience designing educational assistance programs, drafting policies and procedures for employee expense reimbursements and advising a global company on benefits and compensation issues related to nonresident employees, among others.

Andrews, who was formerly a senior tax consultant for a Big Five accounting firm, is a certified public accountant in the state of North Carolina.

Andrews earned her LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center, her J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law and her B.A. from North Carolina State University.

Prior to joining Fox, Andrews was of counsel at Ogletree Deakins.
