This session will review what is required for contracts with nursing homes and ICF/IID facilities based on the Hospice Conditions of Participation and the North Carolina Medicaid Clinical Coverage Policy for Hospice and discuss whether contracts are required with assisted living facilities and best practices for such contracts even if not required. This session will also include a discussion on key lessons from the COVID-19 pandemic that may require updates to contracts with facilities as well as practical tips for managing risks in contracting.
