Family Law Track - Salon C
Planning for college can be stressful and complicated, and even more so when parents are divorced. In this seminar, the speakers will look at how to treat accounts (Ex. 529, UTMA and UGMA) opened by third parties on behalf of the parties’ children; whether and how put assets aside at the time of the divorce; what happens if the income stream is simply not available to fund college expenses; to what extent should parents be required to take out loans; and to what extent the parent/child relationship should play a factor beyond the Gac case.
