Biography
Harriet is a seasoned real estate attorney who represents clients engaged in retail and mixed-use development throughout Texas. She also advises a major Texas city on affordable housing development.
Working closely with developers and project owners, often from day one, Harriet provides proactive legal advice tailored to their business objectives. With a goal of creating value, she negotiates leases, agreements and other documents that protect her clients, saving them money and maintaining a smooth relationship among the parties.
Harriet's negotiating and drafting skills, sharpened over four decades in real estate, enable her to identify potential challenges early in the development process to design agreements that reduce costs and promote efficiency. She has saved clients hundreds of thousands of dollars in project costs through carefully crafted contract clauses.

Harriet joined us from a national firm where she was a partner in the Real Estate practice.
Beyond Fox Rothschild
Alongside her law practice, Harriet was the 2018 Course Director of the Advanced Real Estate Course of the State Bar of Texas and taught a class on real estate transactions at Southern Methodist University as an adjunct professor.
She is a former member of the 16-person governing board of the Real Estate Probate and Trust Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, the Bar's largest section.
Representative Matters
- Represents one of the first mixed-use developments in the United States.
- Finished a 25-year representation of a high-end shopping center by handling its sale, which was named a Wall Street Journal Deal of the Week.
- Worked with a Texas city to create a downtown shopping district and affordable housing.
