Carol Thorstad-Forsyth Appointed Chair of AIPLA Women in IP Law Committee
Fox Rothschild LLP congratulates Carol E. Thorstad-Forsyth, who was appointed to serve as chair of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) Women in IP Law Committee through October 2023.
The Women in IP Law Committee develops content to facilitate its members’ professional development and is committed to creating a community of empowered and connected women leaders in IP. The Committee focuses on programming related to: Retention and Advancement, Outreach, Personal and Professional Development and Presence and Branding.
A longstanding and dedicated member of AIPLA, Thorstad-Forsyth was selected for the new role by the incoming president. She was previously vice-chair of the Women in IP Law Committee and is the former chair of the Women in IP Law Outreach Subcommittee. She also founded and co-chaired the AIPLA Cares Women in IP National Community Service Event, which establishes and strengthens relationships for women in the industry while helping those in need during the holiday season.
In 2015, Thorstad-Forsyth received the AIPLA Project Award for her commitment to globally expanding the Women in IP Law Committee’s yearly networking event.
At Fox, Thorstad-Forsyth provides guidance on the protection of intellectual property to clients that include major defense contractors and market leaders in global communications, consumer goods and network/software solutions.
