Biography
Jake is an experienced real estate litigator who focuses his practice on advising and representing cooperative and condominium boards and their managing agents.
He has extensive experience representing boards and managing agents in common charge lien foreclosures and in disputes among shareholders, unit owners, and other parties. Jake has also handled high-profile commercial mortgage and UCC foreclosures, as well as other complex commercial real estate matters on behalf of lenders and property owners.
Jake has secured significant victories in both state and federal courts, successfully prosecuting and defending cases through all stages of litigation. He is known for his pragmatic, results-driven approach: seeking early, cost-effective resolution when possible, while providing decisive, trial-ready advocacy when necessary. He is committed to minimizing risk, setting clear expectations, and guiding clients towards practical strategies and creative solutions that effectively achieve their objectives.
He also represents clients in arbitration and mediation before leading forums, including the American Arbitration Association and JAMS.
