Biography
Jonathan is a member of the firm's Corporate Department. He has significant experience in health care law and related privacy law, including HIPAA policies and procedures.
He served previously as an attorney for a major health system, providing advice on various contractual agreements, regulatory compliance and investigations, medical staff matters, policies and procedures, transactions, data breach response and mitigation, and a broad range of day-to-day legal matters.
Before Fox Rothschild
Prior to joining Fox Rothschild, Jonathan was in-house counsel for an Indiana nonprofit hospital system. In addition to advising the organization on a broad range of legal matters, he served on the system’s Institutional Review Board and Clinical Ethics Committee. As part of that system’s COVID-19 response, he counseled leadership on various legal, regulatory and operational matters related to the pandemic. Jonathan was a legal extern for the same organization while earning his law degree. Also during law school, Jonathan interned for the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and for the Honorable Joy Flowers Conti of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
Beyond Fox Rothschild
Jonathan was active in Leadership South Bend/Mishawaka, where he served as a member of the Board of Directors, Board Secretary, and a Youth Leadership mentor. Jonathan was also a founding board member of Ablaze Mission, a Catholic young adult ministry. He returned to Notre Dame Law School as a guest speaker for the Health Law Society and a course on Health Care Issues and Canon Law, and as a judge for the Notre Dame National Appellate Advocacy Tournament for Religious Freedom.
