Biography
Jonathan is a member of the firm's Intellectual Property Department and centers his practice on IP litigation.
He has experience in patent disputes, including Hatch-Waxman litigation, and has assisted in cases involving copyright, trademarks, trade dress, and trade secrets. He has also assisted in general commercial litigation, including business torts and contract disputes.
Jonathan has a background in veterinary medicine and molecular biology, with extensive first-hand experience in biomedical research .

Jonathan writes frequently on patent litigation topics. Together with a colleague on the firm's IP Litigation team, he authors an ongoing series of alerts that track noteworthy decisions coming out of the District of New Jersey — one of the country's busiest patent courts. Their coverage spans everything from Hatch-Waxman ANDA disputes and venue fights to claim construction, discovery battles, and pretrial strategy, giving clients and fellow practitioners a practical window into the issues shaping patent cases right now.
Before Fox Rothschild
Jonathan was a summer associate at Fox Rothschild.
While in law school, he worked in Drexel University’s Federal Litigation and Appeals Student Clinic representing individuals seeking asylum, for which he earned the Clinic Legal Education Association Outstanding Clinic Team Award. Jonathan was also a staff editor of the Drexel Law Review, President of the Drexel Intellectual Property Law Society, Vice President of the Immigration Law Society, and Treasurer of the Drexel Chapter of the American Constitution Society.
Jonathan is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where he majored in biochemistry. He additionally studied veterinary medicine and did post-graduate research in molecular biology with a focus on virology.
Beyond Fox Rothschild
In addition to providing foster care for rescue animals, Jonathan raises horses on a small family farm in southern New Jersey.
Honors & Awards
During law school, Jonathan earned the Faculty Award for Outstanding Achievement in Legal Ethics. Jonathan was also a five-time recipient of the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Best Student Performance, including in Trusts & Estates, Property, and Criminal Law.
Prior to law school, Jonathan was the inaugural veterinary student winner of the World Animal Health Organization’s Knowledge Olympics in the Americas (North, Central, and South America). Jonathan was also a Penn Vet Student Inspiration Award winner.
Jonathan is a two-time winner of the New York Times’ “Think Like a Doctor” diagnosis column.
