Biography

Bud is a seasoned litigator who helps clients manage and resolve complex family law issues, including pre-nuptial agreements, matrimonial litigation, division of assets and divorce matters, child custody, child support and alimony negotiations.

In recognition of his skill, Bud is certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Matrimonial Law Attorney. The rare designation – he shares it with only about two percent of the lawyers in the state – is reserved for those lawyers who can meet special standards. A recipient is expected to be “more than just an attorney who specializes in a particular area of law,” according to the high court.

Bud’s experience extends to representing clients in arbitration, mediation and at trial, and he is dedicated to finding favorable resolutions to even the most sensitive disputes. He is particularly adept at managing complicated matters requiring multiple experts, including forensic accountants, employability authorities, real estate and personal property appraisers, child custody best interest evaluators and drug/alcohol evaluators. He often assists clients with complex financial issues, such as valuation and distribution of businesses, professional practices and executive benefits such as stock options and restricted stock units.

A State of New Jersey-certified mediator and Rule 1:40 Court-Approved Economic Mediator, Bud volunteers as an expert panelist in the Morris and Somerset County Early Settlement Programs. He also mentors other attorneys interested in participating in the ESP program and has completed a program that qualifies him to handle mediations where domestic violence is an issue.
