Biography

Joseph is a construction law attorney with experience representing public and private entities who resolves disputes in a practical and efficient manner. He also drafts comprehensive contracts that allocate risks to reduce the likelihood of later disputes.

With a strong commitment to client satisfaction, Joseph is known for his commonsense approach to dispute resolution and ability to help clients understand and navigate complex issues. He takes a proactive approach to representation, working closely with clients to identify potential challenges and develop strategies to mitigate risks.

Joseph has represented private owners, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, as well as the North Carolina Department of Transportation, on contract matters, bid protests, risk mitigation and litigation involving major infrastructure and building projects.

Before Fox Rothschild

Prior to joining us, Joseph was an Assistant Attorney General with the North Carolina Department of Justice, focusing primarily on construction and contract disputes involving the Department of Transportation. Before that, he was an associate at a boutique commercial construction law firm.

After graduating law school, Joseph was a Higher Education Law Fellow at UNC Chapel Hill's Office of University Counsel.  While earning his degree, he gained experience interning and clerking at local law firms and legal centers. 

Before starting his legal career, Joseph worked for several years at the Institute for Defense and Business.
