Biography
Josh is a media and entertainment litigator who handles a variety of complex matters including copyright, trademark, right of publicity, defamation, and breach of contract disputes.
Josh has extensive experience resolving matters on behalf of a variety of business entities including motion picture and television studios, production companies, broadcasters, publishers, and advertising agencies in disputes involving:

Before Fox Rothschild
Before embarking on his legal career, Josh worked for a decade in the film and television industry. Prior to joining the firm, Josh was a summer associate at Fox Rothschild and served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Beverly Reid O’Connell of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
While in law school, Josh volunteered at the Los Angeles Family Law help center and was a mentor to first year law students. He held the position of Production Editor on the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review where he wrote and published two law review articles. He is also a member of the Order of the Coif.

- Down to Earth Organics, LLC v. Efron, 2024 WL 1376532 (S.D.N.Y. Mar. 31, 2024) (won motion to dismiss Lanham Act claims involving title of TV series, “Down to Earth with Zac Efron”).
- Jones v. Twentieth Century Studios, Inc., 2023 WL 9051282 (C.D. Cal. 2023) (won motion for summary judgment in copyright infringement/idea theft lawsuit arising from the sci-fi film, “Ad Astra”).
- Levy Prod. Group, LLC v. R&R Partners, Inc., 658 F. Supp. 3d 901 (D. Nev. 2023) (defeated motion seeking remand to state court of action alleging disguised copyright infringement claims based on purportedly copied idea for magazine-style weekly video series).
- UFO Magazine, Inc. v. Showtime Networks Inc., 2022 WL 16644914 (D. Wyo. Nov. 3, 2022) (won motion to dismiss Lanham Act claims against title of four-episode documentary about UFOs).
