Biography
Kathleen is a registered patent attorney who provides clients with holistic advice in a full range of intellectual property areas, including strategy, acquisition, counseling and litigation.
She assists clients in the acquisition of trademarks and patents, protection of trade secrets and copyrights, licensing of intellectual property and management of IP portfolios. Kathleen prepares and negotiates complex intellectual property licenses, including agreements for commercial databases, co-branding and supply agreements. She also performs patent infringement and patentability analyses and conducts IP due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.
Kathleen defends clients in intellectual property litigation against claims of patent infringement before the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and on appeal before the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and against claims of misappropriation of ideas and trade secrets before the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Her engineering background guides her work with clients in a variety of industries, including:

Before Fox Rothschild
Prior to joining Fox Rothschild, Kathleen was a patent attorney at a national law firm. During law school, she served as a summer associate at a boutique Philadelphia law firm as well as a national law firm.
Before entering the legal profession, Kathleen was a project engineer. She focused on projects related to the design, renovation and testing of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, equipment and utilities for use in blood plasma fractionation, production of live-virus influenza vaccines, and packaging of OTC solid dose acetaminophen and ibuprofen.
