Crain’s New York Business Names Erika Levin a Notable Diverse Leader in Law
Fox Rothschild LLP congratulates Erika Levin, who was recognized by Crain’s New York Business as a 2022 Notable Diverse Leader in Law.
The group of 80 diverse legal professionals who are honored “demonstrate a commitment to community service, philanthropy, professional mentorship, and diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives. As diverse professionals in a traditionally conservative industry, they are forging a path for others—women, minorities and members of other underrepresented groups—to travel.”
A Brazilian native with 20 years of legal experience, Levin recognizes that there is a cultural component to solving international disputes. After joining Fox in 2021, she established the Latin America Practice and created a formal collaboration of attorneys across disciplines to better serve clients with interests in the region. Levin is an international arbitrator whose practice focuses primarily on representing clients in complex international commercial disputes.
Levin’s leadership at Fox extends to the firm’s Diversity Initiative, where she leads the efforts for the New York office and facilitates connections between minority attorneys across the firm. She is passionate about fostering an inclusive community and serves as a mentor for various organizations to help build networks for diverse law students and lawyers.
In her pro bono work, she advocates for people, typically non-U.S. natives, who would otherwise lack a voice and have an inability to navigate U.S. law. She also advises diverse entrepreneurs and business owners to ensure that they are not disadvantaged and makes conscious efforts to work alongside women- and minority-owned companies, frequently connecting these clients for their mutual benefit.
