Biography
Larry focuses his practice on patent preparation and prosecution, as well as patent litigation.
With a background in engineering, particularly in the field of particle accelerators and other large physics experiments, Lawrence works closely with a variety of domestic and international clients.
He has successfully challenged patents and defended the validity of patents in post-grant proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, including Inter Partes Reviews. He also is skilled with Section 337 investigations brought before the U.S. International Trade Commission.
Clients seek out Larry’s assistance with a variety of patent-related matters, including litigation financing.
Before Fox Rothschild
Prior to joining Fox, Lawrence was an associate patent attorney in the Grand Rapids, Michigan, office of a regional law firm.
Before entering the legal field, Lawrence had extensive experience building and operating particle accelerators, fusion reactors and other large physics experiments at universities and government research labs, including the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams at Michigan State University and the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) at Brookhaven National Lab in Upton, NY.
