Biography
Margaret helps clients resolve disputes and supports them in day-to-day operational issues and with transactional matters.
She works closely with clients of all sizes — from individuals to Fortune 100 companies — in matters involving nuanced and novel areas of law. Margaret represents clients from the inception of a lawsuit to its conclusion, whether in court or through alternative dispute resolution. She also counsels clients on ways to mitigate risk and other issues that may arise in business transactions.
Margaret is particularly adept at supporting clients in the health care industry. With a master's degree in bioethics, she has a detailed understanding of health care facilities and the legal issues they face. She uses this knowledge to inform her practice and provide thoughtful, strategic advice to her clients.

Margaret joined us full-time after completing a term as a summer associate.
Margaret was editor-in-chief of the Emory International Law Review, where she managed a staff of 65 to publish articles spanning topics from human rights to global health to constitutionalism. Margaret additionally led the Emory International Law Society and practiced as a student attorney for Emory’s International Humanitarian Law Clinic, focusing on protections for civilians in conflict.
Margaret finished graduate school with a concentration in health law and a master’s degree in bioethics. During her graduate studies, she led the Emory Health Law Society, completed a legal externship with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, and held a legal internship with the Georgia Department for Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities. Margaret's health care sector experience includes an externship in the Trauma Surgery Department of Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, an internship with Columbia University Medical Center in New York City, and a summer with the UN’s Global Bioethics Initiative. An active volunteer EMT for seven years, she co-founded the Colorado College Emergency Medical Services, an organization that provides free emergency care to the local community.
