Biography
Matthew helps businesses of all sizes comply with data privacy laws and regulations, protect sensitive data and prevent and respond effectively to data breaches.
He is CIPP/US certified by the International Association of Privacy Professionals and assists clients with a broad range of cybersecurity and privacy concerns. His skills extend to:
- Privacy policies and procedures
- Data breach response, including compliance with notification requirements under HIPAA, GLBA and GDPR
- Identification and protection of at-risk data against ransomware, phishing attacks, malware and other cyber threats
- Preparation and negotiation of professional services agreements
- Contracts involving health care providers and vendors
Before Fox Rothschild
Prior to joining Fox Rothschild, Matthew was an associate at a boutique data privacy and cybersecurity law firm in the Philadelphia area. He also previously served as a law clerk to the Honorable Christopher Mallios of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.
While earning his law degree at Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, Matthew was a student attorney in the school's Clinic for Law & Entrepreneurship. He also interned for Wawa, Inc. and a boutique cybersecurity law firm.
