Fox Rothschild congratulates Afi Johnson-Parris who has been elected as a delegate to the American Bar Association House of Delegates, representing the ABA Law Practice Division.

Johnson-Parris will serve a three-year term beginning September 1, 2026. In this role, she will represent members of the Law Practice Division and voice their perspectives on ABA policymaking.

The House of Delegates is the policy-making body of the ABA and includes more than 580 members representing state and local bar associations, legal sections and divisions of the association. The Law Practice Division focuses on advancing the legal profession through resources and programming related to finance, practice management, technology and marketing. Johnson-Parris previously served as chair of the Division.

Johnson-Parris, a partner in the firm’s Family Law Department and a North Carolina Board Certified Family Law Specialist, represents clients in a full range of family law matters. She advises clients on complex legal issues related to absolute and collaborative divorce, equitable distribution, alimony, child custody and support, name changes and pre/post-nuptial agreements. She also guides clients through matters involving children, including adoptions, paternity/legitimation and international kidnapping matters.

Active in the North Carolina community, Johnson-Parris is on the boards of the NC Equal Access to Justice Foundation and Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro and is a member of the North Carolina Bar Foundation Endowment Committee.
