Fox Rothschild congratulates Beth G. Oliva, who was elected chair of the Nicotine Resource Consortium (NRC), a member-driven nonprofit dedicated to convening stakeholders and providing insight on nicotine and tobacco issues.

Formerly known as the Tobacco Merchants Association (TMA), NRC is a leading source of information and dialogue for members navigating the evolving regulatory landscape surrounding nicotine and tobacco products. As chair, Oliva will lead the organization in advancing its mission to inform, connect and foster thoughtful discussion across the industry.

Oliva is the first woman to serve as chair in the organization’s more than 110-year history.

For 2026, Oliva will continue to chair the Content Committee for the NRC’s Global Tobacco and Nicotine and Forum (GTNF), the world’s leading conference examining the future of the nicotine and tobacco industries. GTNF brings together public health experts, government representatives, industry leaders and investors from around the globe.

She also currently serves as a board member of the Food and Drug Law Institute (FDLI) and she is a founding member and serves on the board of OWNiT, the Organization of Women in Nicotine and Tobacco. OWNiT exists to empower the advancement of women in the nicotine and tobacco space.

A partner in Fox Rothschild’s Litigation Department, Oliva represents manufacturers, distributors, retailers and trade associations in regulatory, legislative and litigation matters. She handles a range of regulatory issues before federal and state agencies, including the Food and Drug Administration, state tax departments and state attorneys general. Oliva frequently counsels tobacco and nicotine industry clients regarding FDA compliance and premarket review requirements.
