Biography

Beth represents manufacturers, distributors, retailers and trade associations in regulatory, legislative and litigation matters.

She handles a wide range of regulatory issues before federal and state agencies, including the Food and Drug Administration, state tax departments and state attorneys general. She frequently counsels tobacco industry clients regarding all aspects of FDA compliance and premarket review requirements. She has assisted clients from product development through submission for pre-market review and requirements post marketing orders.  She also counsels clients on manufacturing practices and marketing strategies.

Beth also has extensive experience with state and federal government affairs. She has testified in front of many state legislatures and negotiated countless bills across the country keeping client needs and priorities top of mind.

In addition, Beth has significant experience with scientific issues. She has worked with scientific and medical personnel in the United States, Canada, Europe and the Middle East. She identifies and reviews relevant literature within different fields of medicine and science to advise product manufacturers on regulatory, pre-market review, and duty-of-care issues. Beth has also worked with scientific consultants, expert witnesses and scientific literature both to support regulatory submissions and to prepare defenses in domestic and international product liability litigation.

Within the firm, Beth is a Co-Chair of the Partnership Advancement Committee.

Beyond Fox Rothschild

Beth serves on the Board of Directors of the Food and Drug Law Institute, a nonprofit membership organization that provides education to more than 30,000 stakeholders, including manufacturers, distributors, consultants, academics, lawyers, government employees, nonprofits and students.

Beth is also on the Board of Directors of the Nicotine Resource Consortium (formerly TMA), a member-driven nonprofit source of information, convener of stakeholders and thought leader dedicated to providing members and subscribers with a complete understanding of tobacco and nicotine issues. Founded in 1915 as an industry trade association, NRC remains focused on information and analysis that empowers ideas, as well as assembling stakeholders to discuss and debate tobacco and nicotine matters. Beth Chairs the Content Committee for the Global Forum on Nicotine and Tobacco (GTNF), the world’s leading annual conference discussing the future of the tobacco and nicotine industries. GTNF is the global exchange for views and ideas between public health experts, government representatives, the industry and investors.

Beth is a founding member and serves on the Board of Directors of OWNiT — The Organization of Women in Nicotine and Tobacco. OWNiT exists to support, empower and foster the advancement of women in the nicotine and tobacco space. The group convenes regularly scheduled gatherings for women in the nicotine and tobacco fields throughout the year, often near to industry and regulatory conferences. Events feature special programming, around which the organization creates opportunities for mentorship and professional growth.

Beth is President of the Alumnae Association Board of Kent Place School in Summit, NJ and serves on the Mission and Vision Committee of the Board of Trustees. She also has served on the Executive Board of the Peter Minuit Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution for nearly a decade, including serving as Regent of the chapter for four years.

Before Fox Rothschild

Prior to joining Fox, Beth worked at a litigation boutique in New York that was later acquired by a national firm. Before that, she worked at a general litigation firm in New Jersey. She began her career serving as a law clerk for the Honorable Frederick S. Kessler, J.S.C., in New Jersey Superior Court - Chancery Division, Family Part.

Beth was also a summer associate at a national firm and a legal intern at the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies in the Office of the General Counsel. In her final year of law school, Beth was Editor in Chief of the Tulane Journal of International and Comparative Law.
