Barry Rozen Named Chief Information Officer and Mark McCreary Appointed Chief Data & Artificial Intelligence Officer

Fox Rothschild is pleased to announce that Barry Rozen has been named the firm’s Chief Information Officer.

Rozen succeeds Louis Pellicori, who is retiring at the end of this calendar year after five years as the firm’s CIO.

“We are grateful to Lou for everything he built during his tenure with the firm. His leadership modernized and strengthened our technology infrastructure while enhancing the service we provide to clients,” said Paul Straub, Fox’s Chief Operating Officer.

Rozen has served as Fox’s Director of Information Governance & Information Security for the past four years. As Chief Information Officer, he will lead the firm’s nationwide Information Services Department and direct the development and implementation of its information and technology systems.

Rozen brings more than two decades of experience spanning information security, risk management and technology leadership. He has a strong focus on securing critical assets, mitigating threats and driving resilience. His background in building enterprise security programs and aligning technology initiatives with business objectives positions him well to lead the firm's information and technology strategy. Prior to joining Fox, he served as Head of Security Operations & Response, Engineering and Architecture at AIG and held senior roles in information security at Johnson & Johnson and Credit Suisse. He also holds a JD from Purdue Global Law School.

“Barry combines deep technical knowledge with a practical understanding of our business and clients' needs. He has a proven ability to turn complex obstacles into strategic opportunities while fostering collaboration across teams,” said Straub. “He is a team player who is committed to mentorship and training, knows our firm well and understands the security challenges facing the industry.”

As Rozen assumes leadership of Information Services, Mark McCreary, CIPP/US, CIPT, will take on an expanded role focused on the firm’s data, AI and innovation strategy. McCreary, who previously served as the firm’s Chief Artificial Intelligence & Information Security Officer and was its first Chief Privacy Officer, has been named Fox’s first Chief Data & Artificial Intelligence Officer, where he will oversee the newly formed Data & Innovation Department.

He will lead the firm’s strategy on the development and implementation of AI tools. In addition to his ongoing work safeguarding firm data and championing a culture of vigilance around data security, he expands his leadership of Fox’s AI initiatives to include strategic and operational oversight of the firm's innovation efforts.

“Barry and Mark have built a strong partnership, and together they will help guide the firm’s technology, data and innovation strategies into the future,” Straub said. “Their leadership will be critical as we continue investing in secure, practical solutions that enhance client service and support our attorneys and business professionals.”
