Habitat Newark Honors Fox Rothschild Honored with Golden Hammer Award
Fox Rothschild received the Golden Hammer Award from Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newark, NJ in recognition of the firm’s longstanding legal partnership and support of the organization’s mission to expand affordable housing, critical repairs and food scarcity across Essex, Hudson and Union counties.
The award was presented at Habitat Newark’s 40th Anniversary Leadership & Legacy Celebration, which honored individuals and organizations whose contributions have had a lasting impact on the nonprofit’s work and the communities it serves.
The Golden Hammer Award underscores Fox Rothschild’s dedication to pro bono service and community engagement through its Generation Fox initiative, driving opportunities for youth nationwide. Fox’s attorneys have supported Habitat on matters related to the acquisition, development and sale of affordable housing, negotiation of leases for the establishment of Habitat ReStore facilities selling refurbished home goods to raise funds for their housing and repair mission, and helping to advance projects that bring stability to local families.
John V. Galluccio, a partner in the firm’s Real Estate Department, has been instrumental in this work as a member of Habitat Newark’s Executive Advisory Committee. Over the past two decades, he has represented the organization in its affordable housing initiatives, providing legal guidance that supports the development of sustainable housing solutions.
Samantha Santola Krause, Ruben Perez and Joanna Scotti, associates in the firm's Real Estate Department, have also made essential contributions to this effort. Their dedicated work in support of the organization's continued mission reflects the firm's broader commitment to community development and pro bono service.
