Kirsten White Named a Distinguished Leader in New England Legal Awards
Fox Rothschild congratulates Kirsten White, who was named a Distinguished Leader by Law.com at the New England Legal Awards, in recognition of her leadership, professional excellence and meaningful contributions to the legal community.
White, Co-Chair of the firm’s national Labor & Employment Department, advises private sector and nonprofit employers on all aspects of labor-management relations. She helps clients navigate evolving labor and employment challenges while developing strategies that align with their organizational values and long-term goals.
In a Q&A for Law.com, White reflected on her path to the legal profession, which began in public service. Before entering private practice, she clerked on the Senate Judiciary Committee and later served as Policy Director to Dr. Jill Biden in the Office of the Vice President. She noted that those experiences taught her “meaningful change often happens at the intersection of policy and people—and that the most effective advocates are the ones who invest personally in the communities they serve.”
Discussing a recent matter that made her proud, White highlighted her work guiding a prestigious independent school through its first collective bargaining negotiation after employees became union organized. By developing a strategy rooted in the institution’s values and culture, she helped the school and union reach a collective bargaining agreement that was overwhelmingly ratified by the workforce and established a foundation for long-term labor-management stability.
White also shared her perspective on effective leadership, emphasizing the importance of vision and personal investment. She noted that “the best lawyers don’t just react to the legal landscape—they see what is coming and build toward it.”
