Fox Rothschild welcomes Jay M. Jetter to the Seattle office as counsel in the Taxation & Wealth Planning Department.

With more than two decades of experience, Jetter helps businesses and individuals navigate federal, state and local tax issues. He advises clients on the state and local tax implications of their business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, and counsels them on multistate sales and use, property, corporate and individual income tax matters.

Jetter also provides counsel on tax controversies, due diligence and compliance matters. He represents clients in respect to tax audits, appeals, negotiations and litigation, and advises on tax credits and incentives, nexus studies, amnesty and voluntary disclosure negotiations, and legislation.

Prior to joining Fox, Jetter was of counsel at Stoel Rives. He’s a former Senior Tax Policy Advisor in the Washington State Department of Revenue’s Interpretations & Technical Advice Division and Property Tax Division.

He earned his LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Washington School of Law, his J.D. from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law and B.A. from Northwestern University.
