The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) is the first comprehensive data protection law enacted in the U.S. It becomes enforceable on July 1, 2020. Applying to broadly defined “personal information,” CCPA borrows and adapts many concepts from GDPR, including expanded transparency requirements and rights of individuals to access and delete their information. With the recently submitted final regulations, companies have their compliance work cut out for them.

In this conversation-style webinar, Jonathan Kirsop, Data Protection Partner at Pinsent Masons in London and Odia Kagan, Partner and Chair of GDPR Compliance & International Privacy at Fox Rothschild LLP, will discuss how to prepare your compliance plan. Topics include:

  • What does this mean for UK and EU based companies?
  • What needs to be done to prepare?
  • Do I really need to amend my privacy notice?
  • Is there anything missing from my agreements with my data processor?
  • What about that “Do Not Sell My Personal Information” button?
